3 Ways to download videos from YouTube

 There are a lot of people who like to watch videos on YouTube. However, if they want to download the video for some purpose, YouTube gives them the option to download any video and watch it within the app. So, YouTube users will have to search for a third-party app or website to download videos. Method 1 Download from websites

Video download helper sites do the download work for you, providing conversion and then a download link—you don't have to install anything on your PC. It can take a lot longer, depending on the size and quality of the video you want, but you can't beat the convenience.

  • Open the video you wnt to download
  • Click on share button and choose copy link
  • Now open your browser and go to x2convert.com or just click there.
  • After that paste the link in search bar and hit the search button


  • Now choose the download format you want and click on download button




Method 2  Download through VLC media player
  • Get the link of video you want to download as done above in frist two steps
  • Open VLC media player 
  • Now in media column select 'open network stream' or just use Ctrl+N.

  • Then paste the link in text bar and hit 'play' button

 
  • After the video starts, open codec info. in tools column or use Ctrl+J.

      
  • A window like this will open, now copy that location (Use Ctrl+A to select that whole location and then copy it)


  • Now paste the newly copied loacation in your browser's search bar and hit enter.
  • A video player like this will open, now click on the ⋮ icon in the right bottom.


  • Then choose download option, the downloading will start soon.
 


Method 3  Download through third party apps
Third-party software is where you will get the best control over downloading online videos. Typically, you paste the URL for the YouTube video you want into the program, and it downloads the highest quality version it can find. For videos in 1080p High Definition (HD) format, that's usually an MP4 file. For anything higher in quality—4K and even 8K videos—the file format is typically MKV.

It is, sadly, one of the few I tested that asks for a registration of your name and email—you have to do that to get the full download function across 300+ sites. However, you still nab 4K vids from YouTube without registering.
